Yes, you can collect from our Leicester factory, please advise when ordering. There could also be the opportunity for an improved lead time.

We do not offer an installation service. All our rooflights are delivered with a comprehensive set of instructions and if required our technical sales team are always available to answer any questions regarding any aspect of the installation process. Our rooflights arrive on site pre-assembled and are structurally bonded in our factory in strictly controlled conditions which cannot be replicated on site due to dust, moisture etc. We have purposely designed our rooflight products with our customers in mind and therefore they are very easy to install. They do not require a specialist to install and our warranty is not affected if installed by another party.

We are unable to provide updates on the manufacturing status/potential delivery date during the production of our rooflights. The reason being that there are so many quality checks and tests carried out on the product during manufacture that until these have been completed and the product is signed off by quality control we are not in a position to do so.

Yes. Our rooflights have been tested for weathertightness to BS EN 14351-1:2006 +A1:2010 clauses 4.2, 4.5 and 4.14. These test reports can be found in our technical section of our website.

All our rooflights with the exception of modular and AL200, will arrive fully assembled. The rooflight will be suitably packaged and kerb side delivered. Weights are provided on every quotation and order acknowledgement. Please ensure you have sufficient labour resources / equipment on site to offload your rooflight order from our delivery vehicle as we do not offload.

The exact weight will be advised on your free quotation and delivery note, however if you wish to know prior to delivery, please contact Duplus on 0116 2610710.

The rooflight is structural bonded and therefore can be lifted by the perimeter frame or the glass (using suitable glass sucker or craneage).

The rooflight is fully assembled (structural bonded together) you simply locate on to the top of kerb assembly, unclip the external cover strip, secure the rooflight to kerb and finally replace the external cover strips. Please refer to the installation manuals in the technical section for full details. The installation process, for a reasonably competent DIY person should take less than an hour from arriving on site.

Duplus strive to give the best and most competitive prices in the first instance and therefore no further discounts are available. However, for large volume or multiple orders please forward you enquiry direct to Duplus for further consideration.

Yes. Duplus standard specification is TOUGHENED Low E Safety Glass. ALL our roof lanterns and pyramid rooflights are supplied with two panes of heat soak tested glass as standard. This increased specification reduces the chances of spontaneous breakage due to Nickel Sulphide inclusions.

Nickel Sulphide inclusion is a naturally occurring phenomenon in glass. Impurities can remain in the glass after its manufacture and toughening processes. These small particles of Nickel Sulphide can therefore still be present in the glass at installation stage. If rapid heating occurs in a glass panel with Nickel Sulphide inclusion, whether that be due to internal heating or direct sun light, the small impurity will be heated. When these heated particles vibrate the resulting vibration can cause the glass panel to break. Unfortunately, there is no way to totally remove the risk of Nickel Sulphide inclusion. In a standard pane of glass, the risk of Nickel Sulphide inclusion is 1m2 per 10,000m2 of glass produced. Therefore the risk is extremely small but nevertheless there is still a risk. However, to reduce the risk further the glass can be put through a finishing process called Heat Soaking.

Yes. We need to know the weight of the light fitting and also the wiring details.
