The price of roof windows for flat roofs start at as little as £372+vat for a 600mm x 600mm fixed rooflight. This represents great value and retains the build quality of larger and more expensive rooflights such as bi-parting models that can go beyond £20,000+vat.
No and rarely is a roof completely flat! Your builder can simply adjust the upstand to increase the slope by 5-10 degrees to ensure your skylight has adequate slope to allow water run-off. Many skylights/rooflights are designed for flat roofs. Sliding rooflights and roof lanterns can only be positioned up to a maximum pitch of 5 degrees. Adding a rooflight to a flat roof can bring in a substantial amount of natural light and open up the space in the room below. Duplus rooflights are always provided fully assembled and ready to be installed on a builder’s kerb. No flashing kit is required.
No, you do not need a flashing kit with Duplus rooflights. Our flat rooflights are designed to be installed directly onto the builder’s kerb. This ensures a structural fit, weathertight seal and no additional fitting kit. Furthermore, Duplus rooflights come fully-assembled and ready to be fitted on delivery.

Yes, in most instances water will drain off a flat roof window if they are installed to have slope of 5-10 degrees. If your roof has a shallow fall, it is possible to build an upstand incorporating a 5-10 degree angle. This will be sufficient for allowing water to run off the rooflight as opposed to ponding on the rooflight glass.
