Description
Duplus Sliding Rooflights
Designed to provide a large opening to any roof. If you require an even larger area for the opening, please view our bi-parting sliding rooflights
Our sliding rooflights are ideal for the following:
- Opening up more of your internal living space to the outside
- Require precise control of ventilation
- Creating an opening large enough to enable access onto a roof
In any of these instances, the Duplus sliding glass rooflight is the ideal solution. Our sliding roof light is suitable for flat roof applications up to a maximum of 5 degrees slope.
Our high quality thermally efficient rooflight meets the requirements of the Building Regulations. The in-built telescopic sliding mechanism allows the rooflight to support its own weight when fully opened. Therefore, without the need for any roof tracks or further roof penetrating supports. The maximum size currently available is 2000mm width x 2000mm in length.
Advanced Features
Our sliding rooflight incorporates rack and pinion drive with a 24v concealed electric motor. A touch sensitive switch (or similar) is provided to allow precise control of the motor. The switch incorporates an in-built transformer (see technical section), simplifying the electrical wiring connections and fits neatly into a standard double gang back box.
Optional extras include:
- Rain sensor
- Temperature sensor
- Remote control
- Safety access control (PIR)
If you are considering ordering a product where roof access will be required, then please request the additional access pack which incorporates chequer plate tread boards that help protect the sliding skylight internal framework and reduce the risk of slipping during access and egress.
The rooflight design incorporates a manual override facility. The override facility enables the rooflight to be closed in the event of power failure. This facility includes a key, which can be used to disengage the motor. The rooflight can then be manually opened or closed.
Duplus sliding rooflights are double glazed in clear toughened and HEATSOAKED safety glass as standard.
Glass options available:
- Blue tinted glass
- Bronze tinted glass
- Grey tinted glass
- Obscure finish for privacy
- High-performance solar control to minimise solar gain (g) and maximise light transmittance (Lt)
Material Specifications & U-Value
Our rooflights achieve outstanding thermal performance. True U-value and Ud-value available upon request.
The extruded thermally broken aluminium perimeter frame is powder coated RAL 7016 dark grey matt externally and RAL 9910 white matt internally as standard. Other RAL colour options are available upon request. As standard, all double glazed units incorporate clear low ‘E’ glass achieving a centre pane U-value of 1.1 W/m²K.
Easy Installation
Our sliding rooflight is easy to install, an internal perimeter gasket allows the rooflight to be placed directly on top of the builder’s kerb without the need for site-applied silicone. It is then screwed to the builder’s kerb externally and a matching cover clip is then applied to conceal the fixings. A qualified electrician will be required to make the final connections to the motor and the transformer switch. Wiring diagrams are provided with all opening and sliding rooflights.
The rooflight comes fully assembled and is factory cycle tested to ensure the product’s long-term reliability. In the unlikely event of a motor failure, replacement motor housings are available from Duplus which have been designed to be simple to exchange.
Delivered FULLY ASSEMBLED. No need for time-consuming assembly on site. Significantly higher security compared to kit systems.
Also available as a Secure by Design (Part Q) enhanced security variant.
