If you’re looking for a large lantern rooflight with ultra-slim glass to glass joints, then this is the ideal solution. Designed specifically for large size requirements between 3500mm and 5800mm in length.
Our accredited structural silicone glazing techniques allow a design identical to our standard roof lanterns but with the introduction of a center ultra-slim rafter, without the requirement for internal framework to the hips or ridge.
When looking up, the external hip and ridge cappings are designed to remain hidden. This glass to glass joint finish, creates a contemporary aesthetic, stunning ’frameless’ appearance and is a key benefit when choosing a large lantern rooflight for your project.
Our 3.5m – 5.8m roof lanterns are double glazed in clear HEATSOAKED toughened safety glass as standard.
We offer a range of tints:
Unlike traditional ‘stepped edge’ glass lanterns where the outer edge of the glass is vulnerable to breakage, our larger lantern rooflights fully enclose the double glazed units within the perimeter framework to eliminate this risk. The top surface of the double glazed unit is flush with the external face of the perimeter frame to allow rainwater to disperse rapidly, minimising cleaning and maintenance requirements.
The extruded thermally broken aluminium perimeter frame is powder-coated RAL 7016 Anthracite grey matt externally and RAL 9910 white matt internally as standard. External hip and ridge cappings are fitted for aesthetics and are powder coated RAL 7016 Anthracite grey matt to match the external perimeter frame at the base of the lantern rooflight. Other RAL colour options are available upon request.
As standard on all our double glazed products, units incorporate HEATSOAKED clear low ‘E’ glass achieving a centre pane U-value of 1.1 W/m²K. Please refer to our FAQ section for an explanation of heatsoaked glass.
Delivered FULLY ASSEMBLED. No need for time-consuming assembly on-site. Significantly higher security compared to kit systems.
Available without external cappings for a truly frameless external appearance. We would recommend the caps as these provide added protection to the vulnerable edge of the glass units.

This product is suitable for installation via mechanical means with purpose-designed lifting accessories available for hire from Duplus.
