Our walk-on rooflights are designed to be flush with surrounding flooring, typically on roof terraces with decking. An ideal ‘walkable’ rooflight solution allowing natural light to flow into the room below, without sacrificing the useable space above.
Walk-on skylights have incredible load-bearing properties that satisfy the latest Part Q building regulation requirements, anti-slip options, and a layer of toughened laminated glass up to 33.5mm thick to withstand foot traffic.

Part Q (Secure by Design) compliant as standard. Walk-on glass rooflights are suitable for flat roofs and are designed to meet the imposed load requirements of BS EN 1991 Subcategories A1, A2, A3 and A5. This means that they can withstand a uniform distributed load (UDL) of 2.5kN/m² and a concentrated load of 2.0kN.
Please Note: October 2013, walk on rooflights stating only compliance to the lower loads defined by BS6399 (1.5kN/m² UDL and 1.4kN concentrated load) should be avoided.

The extruded aluminium perimeter frame is powder-coated RAL 9005 black matt as standard. Other RAL colour options are available upon request.
Avant-Garde or sandblasted anti-slip external glass treatments to BS7976-2 are available upon request, to reduce the risk of slippage.
A builder’s kerb is required for installation. The roofight should be fitted first, with the surrounding flooring completed afterward enabling an overall flush finish to be achieved. The correct loading standards must be considered, reference should be made to Eurocodes BS EN 1991.
Following extensive structural glass calculations, our rooflights incorporate an external pane of toughened laminated glass. This varies between 25.5mm and 33.5mm thick, depending on the size of the walk-on unit selected.
Duplus walk on rooflights achieve outstanding thermal performance. True U-value and Ud-value available upon request.

Yes, we provide a glass option with etching on the surface of the glass to reduce slip. There is an additional cost for this feature. This is calculated on the size of the rooflight required.
No, our walk-on rooflights are single, individual units with a single opening and a maximum size of 1.1m x 3m.
Unfortunately we are unable to provide connected walk-on rooflights or a kit to achieve this.
